i need to preface this by saying i live in pennsylvania, where we have stringent yearly vehicle inspections. also by stating that i’m 16 and i barely have time to work my job or on the explorer. but what i do have, is sheetmetal. i have a lot of sheetmetal.

this is a 1993 ford explorer XLT, with 68127 on the odometer. runs perfect. drives perfect. mechanically sound. however the body has given way to rust… it’s a sad sight, but i will not let it die in vain.
let’s get to the pics…

i don’t have pictures of it all but the following would have failed inspection, given the condition.
left quarter panel
left front cab corner
left front fender
both rockers from the B pillar on back
both inner rockers and backing metal
both spring hangers
both spring shackles
fuel tank straps
two body mountsso i’m fixing it.
that’s where i stand at this point. feedback is appreciated. let me say, i love ford explorers. something about them is just appealing to me.
but i hate pennsylvania.
more to come. thanks guys.
