      I don’t have a scan tool ,how can i test the map sensor using a DVOM only?

        Should be a 3 wire Sensor. One wire should have 5 volts on it, this is your 5 Volt ref. One wire is your ground it should be less than 50 MV. The other wire is your signal wire. Key on engine off should read somewhere around 4.8 Volts. With the engine running at idle the voltage should drop and rise as you rev the engine. This is just generalized since I have no idea what vehicle were working on or what the problem is.

          sorry about that! It is a 1993 gmc yukon 5.7 with throttle body

            What kind of problem are you having with the truck. I would assume an engine performance problem.

              First problem is it sounds like it going to stall upon cold start up but never does stall and the will idle ok. second issue when in drive it has a pretty severe hesitation and i have to step on throttle a little hard to break out of that issue and while at any cruising speed i have to feather the gas pedal constantly to maintain a steady speed.The fuel pressure is 15 psi
