      Is it a vacuum operated EGR valve? Did you try using a vacuum pump to see if the engine stalls if so?_x000D_

      Do you have vacuum going to the EGR valve?_x000D_

          The first thing I would check since you replaced the valve is the vacuum supply line.

              I had a “92 Lexus LS that had an egr pipe on the back of the motor that had an accordion-type section in the pipe that would always crack and throw a code 71.

                I too would recommend checking to see if applying vacuum to the valve at idle causes the engine to stall or run rough, if it doesn’t then look for clogged passages, if it does then look to the supply vacuum and other controls to see if they are working pr
