long story short the car overheated and I rebuilt the engine and put it back in.

the car will not sputter as if it is Catching Fire and the starter seems to be spinning the flexplate very slowly. I had the starter bench tested and it works without any issues. I also had my battery tested and that is ok as well. I am getting voltage at the starter terminals of the same battery voltage.

I even hooked up a remote starter switch to see if there was something going on with the ignition wiring to the starter and I am getting the same crank speeds and it is not turning over. I am getting spark,I am also getting fuel and Air

here’s a video of what’s going on under the car looking at the flexplate. the serpentine belt is disconnected in case accessories were binding things up. I also remove the oil cap to see if there were any movement in the valves and I saw a movement

It’s hard to say, but my impression is that the engine is actually spinning faster than normal, and doesn’t seem to be making compression.

I´m inclined to agree with this ^^

You said you rebuilt the engine…. exactly what did you do to it ?

Took block and head to machine shop. They wanted 500 bucks for a valve job so they just polished camshaft and installed new bearings I believe, and reassembled the unit.

the block, was put back together by me. Cylinders honed, The crank shaft was polished, new piston heads and rings, I installed new bearings, and bearings for the piston caps, installed new gaskets for the water pump/ oil pump, oil pan oil pick up tube, intake, exhaust, and head gaskets.. everything mostly torqued to spec, Only thing i may have over tightened are the connecting rod bolts but i could spin the crank in the block and there was no interference.

Im thinking something is going on with the valves, though I could be wrong. gonna squirt some oil in the holes tomorrow and try to crank to see if i get better compression.

EDIT: apparently that crank isn’t normal at all. Looks like i’ll be unbolting things again
