Ok so my 1992 Dodge Stealth has a hard misfire. I have read the codes which are 44 and 41. Ignition cylinder 1 and 4 and injector coil.
Right away I checked for spark and nothing from the coil closest to firewall for cylinder 1 and 4.
So I swapped with the bottom coil because all the other cylinders are getting spark. No change. Still no spark from cylinder 1 and 4.(I also checked for leaking coils and wires with a water spray bottle and there were no issues.)
I pulled the ptu(power transistor unit) which controls the ignition today and tested it. It seems to test ok but I will try and get a used on from the junk yard and see what ohm readings I get. The readings from each of the three transistors were all consistent.
Where do I go from here? How do I test the signal from the ecu to the ptu? I think this is the next logical step. If I missed anything let me know.
