1992 Corolla A/C compressor magnetic clutch

The magnetic clutch on my ’92 Corolla is not held on by a split ring (dammit clip) as I expected. What’s in there resembles a flat washer with cut-outs around the edge. I cant get ahold of it with anything in my toolbox. Is there a special Toyota tool I need to know about or is it a brute force tear-out with some sort of gear puller? (The compressor is still on the car–didn’t want to evacuate the system if it wasn’t necessary.) Thanks
