Your going to need to read the code(s) using a obd1 scanner or unless someone here can tell you how to do a flash test on it if you can on these.

I have a 1991 Honda accord ex WITH 240 k. The car runs great but today the speedometer died running 70 MPH then the s light came on and started flashing. A couple of miles later the check engine light came on. I drove another 20 miles and the car ran fine.

The car has a new battery and the connections are clean and tight. I replaced the TCU probably 4 years ago with a re-furbed unit at $300.00.
I have not pulled the codes, not real sure how to do it.

        PLEASE COMMENT!

        THANKS

First you’ll need to pull the code by shorting out the connector under the glovebox but I suspect you have a speed sensor issue as what you describe are the classic symptoms. Here’s a video that may help you with getting the code, I know it’s for checking timing but it’s the same connector you short in order to get codes.
