Good day everyone. I recently changed my timing belt and engine seals using Erics video (helped TONS by the way), but want to make sure everything sounds OK. It runs great and smoother now since the change. Let me know what you guys think!

      Thanks! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgZOkFrsyLE

I hear a tapping noise. Maybe your valves need to be adjusted. Great job changing your own timing belt.

Thanks Eric! Next time the valve cover is off I’ll check the valve adjustment. Car runs extremelly smooth now and your video was a HUGE help in helping me do the seals and getting the balance shafts timed correctly.

The tapping noise is more from the injectors ticking away. After listening to the video, it does sound like they need adjusting, but in “real life” they are pretty quite. Thanks for the props!

Thanks! Just wanted to make sure the belts weren’t too tight or anything. By the way, the serpentine drive belt tensioning system on that Accord is not the easiest design to work with.

Sounds good to me, you might consider a valve adjustment next time you have the valve cover off to help deal with that slight tick.
