So this morning, I was just checking around my newly acquired Chevy Suburban V2500. Well I pulled a spark plug wire to check the spark plugs. Well, I soon realized I didn’t have a proper socket for the plug so it didn’t do anything with it. But a half hour later I go to start my truck kto try and fix the rear a/c blower that has an awful screeching. So I go to turn the key and let it prime 3x. Then when I go to crank it everything lost power. Radio, lights, EVERYTHING. Except my headlights because I have them wired directly to battery. I go checking around, no bad fuses, but I left the plug wire resting off the plug itself and on the manifold. That’s the only thing that was out of order. Could that have shorted anything out? Battery has full charge.

Disconnected spark plug wire has nothing to do with the problem.

Check the connections for the battery. Clean off any corrosion and make sure the cables are bolted on tightly enough.
If those check out, your starter may have chosen now to draw too much amperage.
It’s also possible that your battery isn’t as fully charged as you think it is.
