My oem heater is the automatic version.

The heater does not work. Ac works fine, blower works fine. When I turn on the heater and switch it from cold to hot the solenoid activated cable does not move and I do not hear any movement in the heater mechanism.

I assume the problem is in the heater control panel. Could it be in the heater circuit breaker?

I will attempt to pull the heater control unit unless someone has another suggestion…

      Thank you,

      Bill

you have the most overly-complex spaghetti hvac system wiring diagram i have ever seen. looking at this actually makes me angry. I will post these in hopes someone else will step in and offer a solution. My brain/will to live is actually drained by looking at these schematics.

I pulled the heater control panel. Not as hard as I thought. Tried to troubleshoot it…. using the YouTube video “HOW TO: Toyota Camry Heater FIX !!!” No luck. Reconnected the Heater Control Unit (without full installation …. connecting cables through the bezel opening). It seems to work now. Connections just bad?????

Should I spray something on the connections before I do a full re-install to improve the connections?

They do make contact cleaner. I’m guessing you could find it at Radio Shack.

Sounds like you got it sorted. You can use contact cleaner as suggested. It really won’t hurt anything and might make for a better connection.
