The car either starts and runs for a few (maybe 10) seconds or doesn’t start, but fires a few times. Fuel pressure is 42 psi at the rail, key on.

One puzzling thing is that the fuel pump runs for 2-3 seconds when I turn the key on AND when I turn the key off. When I turn the key off, I hear the same sound as when I turn the key on. The fuel pump.

I’m thinking that the pump coming on then is a function of a bad ECM. What does anyone think?
      thanks,
      Dave

        A little resolution here.
The noise key on and key off was the antenna extending motor! Antenna doesn’t move, but motor runs and from the driver seat the antenna on the right rear fender is in line with the fuel pump noise. It wasn’t until a helper turned the key with me sleuthing that it was clear. Fuel pump running fine. Pumped half a gallon out though my fuel pressure gauge bleed-off and volume of flow was great.

Removed plenum and measured the resistance of the fuel injectors. Supposed to be greater than 12 ohms. One fuel injector was 4 ohms, one was 6 ohms and the rest were between 12-13. The two low ohms ones were both on the front bank of the V6. I replaced all six injectors and car runs great.
