When you assemble the rear drum parts, the adjuster lever will give you an idea of which way to place the start wheel adjuster.

If you still cant figure it out, just try to find a diagram online 🙂

If memory serves the adjuster pushes down on the adjuster, that said the standard thread should go on the left side I believe and the right hand thread should go on the right.

                    ok, i got it figured out…thx 2 a trip to PikNPull…

so if u stick your head in the rear wheel well on the front side… &
look @ the adjusters. if the adjuster was a saw blade, it would cut by
turning clockwise on the passenger side & counter-clockwise on the driver’s side.

also, the top big brake spring is different for each side. if u mix them up,
the self-adjusters don’t work. the bar on the spring is towards the top, out of
                    the way of the adjuster… here’s a pic of the driver’s side…

                    thx2 every1 for replying…

ps: wrenching is liking up any trade… a never-ending supply of screwups to remember.
i enjoy it…same goes electrician stuff, plumbing, tiling… same deal

Thanks for the update. I often tell people my life is an exorcize in Murphy’s law, much of that is due to my choice of profession. In short, I feel your pain. Thanks for using the ETCG forum.
