So I am back here again with more issues with my MX73 Cressida. This time goes back to the issue which lead to her being parked for over a year in the first place. When you press the accelerator down if you press down too far the pedal goes completely limp and drops to the floor and wont go back. This also leads to the throttle being stuck wide open. I found that if I push the throttle open by hand it does not stick open, it has been thoroughly cleaned and works fine. It has to do with the overly complicated cable system that is in place with a series of rods and hinges and what not. I am including a video of the prat that actually sticks.

I have, what I noticed today is the arm that pulls on the throttle will slide under the mechanism that connects to the accelerator pedal. I’ll be honest I am use to the throttle cable going directly to the throttle or a drive by wire. This is my first time messing with something that seems to operate more like an antique clock more than a car lol. But the arm is connected to a peg that pulls on the throttle itself when the pedal is pushed down there seems to be a stop that is not working anymore and allows the arm to slide over it and locks it into place. It seems like its become very loose and may need to be replaced. The issue I am having now is that I have no clue what the actual name for these parts are. Because throttle cable doesn’t aid in my search for these parts.

Also it seems like there are very few sources for parts on this car.
