My girlfriend has a 1987 iroc 350 multiport injection. It was very neglected. I have been trying to figure out some engine problems it has been having. It was difficult to get started, and when it did run it smelled rich and was lacking in power. I changed the starter, thermostat, air filters, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator (while I had the air plenum apart I changed all the gaskets and manifold air heat sensor), mass air flow sensor, spark plugs and wires, checked fuel pressure (it’s good), there are no vacuum leaks. It now starts fine, has plenty of power, but idles very rough (at times idle speed will drop until it stalls), it runs perfect when driving. So I’m about to change air idle regulator, o2 sensor, and check (and adjust) throttle position sensor. Any advice anyone has would be appreciated.
