Hello all! I have a 1986 Ford F150 XLT Lariat 4spd, l6 engine. The ignition module has gone out twice since owning it, once this past december and earlier this month. I just got it back with a premium Ignition Module(Under warranty) And they suggested replacing the cap and rotor and did so. What causes these Modules to go bad?
I have LED light strips running from my parking light fuse in the fuse box, to under my headlights, Does this have ANYTHING to do with it? (Voltage, ect…) I just dont want this to happen anymore, at least for a few years. Any help is appreciated.
It does idle very rough, needs a new carb. But not concerned cause i never let it idle anyway, unless in traffic.
