Hello, I have a 1986 Ford F150 XLT Lariat, Inline Six 4 spd.
Since i bought it i noticed when it is cold, there is a clunking/knocking noise from the front left. Noticeably underneath, you cant hear it up top.
It is not a rhythmic knocking so this is not Rod Knock, or anything Engine related I believe. Had my engine gone through this summer, and changed the oil to find nothing metallic. Is this a broken motor mount or something similar? Or Clutch noise? Any help appreciated!
EDIT: After remembering the few other times I investigated this noise, I remember the noise went away after pressing in the clutch pedal. the noise only comes about on idle after cold starts. The noise is not present after being driven or when warm.
