Hey Guys
I rarely work on BMWs. In this particular instance my friend asked me to fix a few, “little problems.” I spent the day removing and lubing three power window motors, locating and removing the central locking system module, etc., etc. After finishing up I started the vehicle and noticed the top end was a little noisy. It did quieten down a little after warm up, but, it did seem noisy to my ears. The valve/rocker clearances are adjustable. The engine has 124,000 kms. Clean car. One owner who has maintained it well. Question: are these engines a little on the rattly side in general, or, should I spend another hour and check his valve clearances in the chance they may need adjusting. Yeah, I know, I don`t really want to do it but I should.Cheers
