Boy where to start here. My grandfather bought this car new off of the lot new and sold it to me in non running condition for a very cheap price just to pay off a bank loan.
-what me and my father has done so far
      new trunk pan
      new gas tank
      new quarter panels
      new Holley 780 carburetor
full interior redone in jet black.
custom cut rims to fit the back and front of the car with out air bags.
and a thermostat, mostly because we didn’t want to take a chance.
full paint job with two years of body work “when we had time to work on it in those two years”
      base clear paint.
-what needs to be done in the future
      New chrome all around
      new bumpers
      updated head and tail lights
      new shifter
new clutch “needed badly original clutch in the car”
custom FM radio to match the old AM radio.
new gaskets around the new front windshield for some reason its leaking..
Moving on does anyone know if this motor should have a slight top end ticking noise at idle, It is very faint but still there? I know its got the stock hydraulic lifters. I really don’t want to take the valve covers off unless necessary the motor has never had the valve covers off or anything done to it besides the new carburetor plugs and wires.
