1966 Series 2a Land Rover

This is my pride and joy, it’s a 1966 Land Rover Series 2a I use it everyday for commuting and also I do quite a bit of green laning and off roading during my free time but as of late though problems have been mounting up and have decided to take it off the road and get my hands dirty…

It’s a 2.25 litre 4 cylinder Diesel and has a max speed of around 40 mph, but with a overdrive unit strapped onto the gearbox they can reach close to 60 mph… It’s no speed monster but off road it can still cut it with its younger offspring… The best thing though is that its exempt from road tax due to its age and only
