      Hello All,

I am restoring my 1966 Chevy Impala convertible. All stripped down and waiting for the next step. My problem is the side cowl area hinge A-Pillars on the left and right sides are rotted out. Right side not as bad as the left. Wild animals had made nests in the area of the cowl drains so over time and at its previous home just rotted away. No OEM stampings for that area and I have scoured the countries southern and western auto junk yards for the parts. Rediculous prices so I am going to reconstruct those areas myself. Fun stuff. Anyone else got an Impala project?

Beautiful! First car I ever put an engine in was a 64 Impala. It was a 283.

I love those Chevys! good luck with the project, and i hope to see more progress.
I have an 80s Bbody, but if i could find a 60s impala for a reasonable price i’d love one..

Me 2, no matter how much I love sensibility and performance there is something about old muscle.

btw, what are your plans, outright restoration, or restoration with added features such as upgraded suspension, retrofitted aircondition, electronic engine management or a engine swap alltogether.

A impala here in Norway is rather hard to come by, if there is one it’s doomed to be pricey!
