Hello everybody from France!
I’m actually working on a 1959 Opel Kapitan. OPel is a european brand owned by General motors from the WorldWar2 to 2018.
I’m rebuilding the engine, it is out of the car on a jack to ork easily. The oil pan gasket comes in 4 pièces of cork like this
https://www.euspares.co.uk/parts/reinz/980005the very problem is to form the 2 straights in curved piece to match the main cap where it is supposed to fit. The oil pan don’t have a throat to maintain the gasket too. It is just a nightmare.
BUT I had an idea, you, US guys, probably know a General Motors straight 6 engine from 58-63 who can be used in the US and where an updated gasket exist?
2.6 Straight 6 90hpThaks for your help and ideas!
