Many hardware places will have those bolts so they should be pretty easy to find.

I hate that big axle nut. It’s nuts to get off without air tools. Why does Honda torture us like this? Lol.

It can be done without air tools with a little effort.

To be honest, if I have a garage or an independent storage, I could do it. Around my apt complex, when I did my ball joints, too many eyes looking and a few told on me to the apt. manager. She never said any thing.
I really want to do it.

I got an answer for that axle nut, I call it “The Beast”.

It strikes terror into any axle nut you will ever face.

I use an extension and prop it on a jackstand. You will also need the holding tool to keep the wheel from spinning.

I have one ( 3/4 inch drive version ) used it today to remove the landlords tire to replace a wrecked wheel stud ( thank you discount tire ) 98 DODGE RAM – they must have put the lug nuts on with a million foot pounds of torque ’cause my impact would not budge them ( probably time for a new gun anyway ) with my 270 pound body and the 40″ breaker bar I have found no fastener that stands a chance. no need for a cheater pipe . recommend everyone own one of these.

That breaker bar looks intimidating. Unfortunately, I don’t see that once every blue moon that I work in the axle area to justify the cost of it. I would have to buy a 36mm 1″ drive socket too. Expensive. How’s the end hinch holding up? I weigh only 137 lbs and 5’10” , not much torque from me. But I have seen many broken breaker bar 24″ from the hinches.

                          Thanks.

Got mine for about 40.00 on sale ( 3/4 inch drive version ) added an impact qaulity reducer to it 3/4 female to 1/2 male so can use all my 1/2 inch drive sockets as well as my 3/4 inch drive stuff. used it to remove a fastener a while back that took a 2″ socket ( 3/4 inch drive ) was on beyond tight. bar never flinched with me yanking on it. the fastener surrenderd. 40” of length gives anyone mass leverage but if a cheater pipe was needed it would be no problem.
