’09 Corolla Oil Problem

It’s me again.. I decided to take the intake manifold off (to check the PCV valve). When I pulled it off, the intake manifold gasket had oil on it, and the manifold itself was holding about a cup of oil inside of it (made a mess of the driveway.) I took the PCV valve off, and it seems to be okay (still rattles around and seals correctly)

If you don’t remember my earlier thread, it’s a 2009 Toyota Corolla that burns a quart every 2000 miles.

Suggestions? I already ordered a new PCV valve to eliminate another variable.

Clean everything out as good as possible and drive on… Some people install catch cans to deal with this issue…

I might have to do that.. I’d just like to get rid of this stupid problem. I don’t want to worry about oil levels..

Mkay, you seem to be having oil blow-y coming back through the PCV valve. This happens on hi mileage engines and there’s not too much you can do about it. You can find aftermarket “oil catch cans” that do a somewhat job of catching and returning this oil mist.
