I was gradually losing heat in my 08′ Dodge Avenger, was getting to the point where the heated seats was not enough. Did a lot of research and could not find anything on the Avenger… Decided to take it into my own hands. Using a Digital Inspection Camera I checked the inside of the heater box to make sure the doors were working..New it wasn’t a thermostat issue…so after getting home from a trip to Lowes Home Improvement, I decided to get a feel on the heater hoses the inlet hose was hot but outlet hose was barely Luke warm….I figured it had to be a plugged heater core…so I backed flushed the heater core and run some CLR through it flushed again with clean water blew it out put it back together and heat issue fixed…….bottom line is I should not be having plugged heater core issues with that new of a car??
