Hi all, I have a 2008 Honda Civic EX with 170K miles. My car is making clicking noise (while idle or slow driving) down where the front wheels are located when I was turning left or right. The noise is not that bad couple weeks ago but today it is kinda loud. Where should I check on my suspension? Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Clicking noise when turning can often mean your CV joint in your axle shaft is going bad…

Generally, a clicking noise when you turn left is the right one, a noise when you turn right is the left one..

It’s probably not the cv joints if it’s making the noise while sitting still. It’s most likely a tie rod end or ball joint.
I would just take it to a shop and have them look at it, but…. if you’re determined here is a video.

I missed that it made noise at idle (the vehicle has to be moving for the axle shaft CV’s to make noise). The post above is more accurate. Also another thing that can make noise is the CV joint in the steering column, but that is not really where you are hearing it from.

Thanks all, I’ll jack it up and take a closer look.
