I had the P0137 downstream Oxygen sensor problem since 6 months ago.

After clearing the P0137 code, I can drive my Versa for weeks without tripping the P0137 error. But when my son drives this Versa, he can get the P0137 error after using it for a day.

P0137 is the downstream O2 sensor. I like to test the O2 sensor first to make sure it is bad before buying a new one. I spent an hour try to get the O2 sensor connector off and without any luck. Anyone have experience in releasing this connector? TIA

Is there other things may cause this error even the downstream O2 sensor is working fine?

Seeing as this code comes intermittently odds are you just have a lazy/defective O2 Sensor. This sensor should be a conventional 4 wire oxygen sensor. You have two wires for the heater power and ground. A sensor ground and a signal wire. The ECM sends out a bias voltage of 0.29 to 0.30 volts down the signal wire for diagnostic purposes. With the sensor unplugged on the harness side check the signal wire for this voltage. If the voltage is present then that tells you the sensor signal wire is good all the way back to the engine computer. Most likely you just have a bad sensor.

Yes, this sensor has 4 wires – 2 for heat and 2 for signal. Unfortunately, I cannot find a way to remove the connector to do the measurement.
