Hey all have a question for you all that I can’t quite seem to figure out on my own. I have a 07chrysler aspen limited with the 5.7 hemi all time 4WD with 98k on it. I have replaced the lower ball joints, sway bar bushings front and rear and will be replacing the sway bar end links once I find out what and where this noise is coming from. When I turn in and out of a parking space, so a hard turn, left or right while pressing the brakes to stop thereis a snap/pop noise. It does it sometimes when not pressing on the brake. The sound is coming from the driver side front. When I turn hard regularly either way there is no clicking snapping or popping when traversing or doing a figure 8 in a parking lot. Do you think it could be the brake pads? Or something else? I know I need to.do an all around brake job to include replacing the rotors.Any help would be great!

You may want to inspect the cv joint/axle, brakes, control arm bushings and the strut/strut bearings…

i inspected the cv axles this morning there seems to be a little play in them but now a lot im pretty sure the play that is in them is normal? im not sure becasue i have never really delt with them before and not sure what normal is. i dont have struts just shock and those seem to be good as well. and i will be checking out the control arm bushings tonight but it would seem that it would give me a different sound more of like clunking when going over bumps and such.

check the steering shaft joints for binding.some people
are saying the exhaust studs break and cause the noise?

yes i have also looked at the steering shaft joint and had my wife back up and pull into the drive way with the hood open and the noise isnt coming from there from what i noticed, but that doesnt mean that it isnt it either! and really the exhaust studs? i dont mean to sound uninformed but where/what are those? only thing i can think of is where the headers bolt on.

They hold the headers/manifold the the head. But I believe it was
for the 4.7 not the 5.7 check sway bar bushings if you have them.

Check the engine cradle mount bushings and bolts.
