      Hi all,

I have a 06 Nissan Altima 2.5 Automatic with 160K miles on it. Recently it got overheated because the radiator was leaking. After I replaced the radiator, flush it with water before connect the upper/lower holes with radiator (at this point the car still starts) then I connect everything and fill it up with coolant mixed with distill water. The car just crank but won’t start at this point.

What could be the reason causing my engine not to start like this. I was thinking that it could be coolant get inside the cylinder but I’m not sure. Any input or advise is really appreciated.

      Thanks,
      Khoi.

Was the overheat condition persistent enough to maybe damage the head gasket? Did you check for coolant in the combustion chamber? Spark and fuel? Check engine light on? We need more info because it could be a lot of things.

if its cranking but not starting i would plug a scan tool in and see what codes pop up first.

I just did the pressure test and seem like it doesn’t have a blown head gasket. But one thing I noticed that in the cylinder #2, gas keep flowing out slowly, all other 3 cylinders are dry. What could cause that symptom? I don’t have a scan tool and I can’t get my car moving to auto zone or the near by shop. Thanks for your inputs.

Do an injector and coil pulse test. If you’re nit recieving input then we might suspect a no rpm signal reaching your ecm. Then you have to check the crankshaft position sensor. Try for spark and fuel first then pulse.
