I have an 05 Mazda Tribute that is leaking a good amount of clear like new brake fluid but it is not brake fluid. I have checked my brake fluid which is not dropping, P.S fluid is fine, engine oil is fine kinda of darken so it cant be my engine oil. My only guess is the Tranny cooler is leaking. Every hour that goes by, the amount of fluid puddle just grows larger. Tried to look from the bottom with a flash light and follow the leak but it so clutter there is no way to even trace it. But shouldn’t tranny fluid be reddish pink color?

Just replaced passenger side axle due to ABS light. A tooth on the axle completely broke throwing the ABS light on.
The leak was there before I replaced the axle.
I don’t know what else holds clear like new fluid. Any idea’s, help, suggestion would all be appreciated.

Last thing I want to do is tear down the whole front end for room to find the problem.

You can’t pinpoint the leak if the car sits in one spot?
Is you power steering fluid clear? trans should be red/pink
Put some on a white paper plate. Then go to each one of your
fluids and use the white plate to match the fluid.

Funny…you didn’t mention the coolant level. Some newer “global” coolants are almost clear. I would be checking for a coolant leak.

Exactly WHERE under the car is the puddle forming? Like driver side front or pasenger side near firewall etc. Geography of the puddle might help with a remote diagnosis.
