      I have installed new clutch pressure plate and release bearing.
      but when I hooked up shift cables I have no second or reverse gear.
      all other gears work
      What Have I done wrong?
      or what should I check

        Was this a problem before you changed the clutch? Did you lube the fork ears? Take off the shift linkage and try to run through the gears off the shift lever and see. Sounds like a sticking release bearing.
