      I need to change the expansion valve on my 04 frontier. I can’t see how to get the evap box out. I removed the glove box and 4 evap mounting bolts. Also the screws and separated the box a little. I can’t get it to come out without removing the blower housing. Do I have to? I removed 2 nuts holding the blower housing on the bottom but it looks like something is holding it above. Any help? I heard it was suppose to be real easy.

      I saw something on the net about disconnecting the airbags! Do I need to? How? The battery negative has been disconnected for a few days now.

        I think there are 5 evaporator bolts (10mm) … IIRC one was nearly impossible to get to. Being a contortionist helps.

          Got it! There are only 4 bolts but there is a bracket blocking removal. Had to take some of console around gear shift off and remove radio. Bracket screws go in from console side. Watched a remove radio video that helped. Thanks for your reply!
