I found this video that ETCG did about Fast Idle valve. Maybe this will help you out.

There’s no fast idle valve on that engine. In fact, I just replaced the IAC on my Element which has the same power plant for similar reasons. It appears you’ve already done that with yours. When you say high idle, what RPM is it running at? Any other symptoms?
In the mean time you might want to check this out for additional information on dealing with idle problems.

it runs at about 1200… if u rev it up its fine… then it stays at around 1200… then gradually drops to round 800… ive looked up all possible symptoms… cant find a vacuum leak anywhere and yeah i replaced the iac valve along with the pcv valve just to play it safe… like i said the check engine light goes away but the code gets stored…
thanks for the replyCheck the throttle cable tension. If it’s too tight it won’t allow the throttle to close fully. Also be sure that no one has tampered with the idle screw. If they have, then perhaps that’s the cause of the problem. The article I posted for you has the procedure for setting the idle if the screw has been tampered with.
