Most likely there is air in the cooling system. Eric has a video on this. Basically you want to take off the radiator cap when it’s cooled down, if it’s not full to the tippy-top, it needs to be filled, and the reservoir too. Then you need to bleed the air out. If this is the big V6 There may be parts of the cooling system above the top of the radiator so you have to bleed air out from the highest point on the highest hose.
And you might need a new radiator cap if the overflow tank hasn’t been siphoning coolant back into the radiator. And check the overflow hose, it needs to be in perfect shape for the siphoning to happen.
Yup, if the coolant level is visibly low, and the overflow tank is full, check / replace the radiator cap. If the coolant looks to be full, bleed the cooling system, there is very likely trapped air in it.
