03 Sierra Turn Signal Issue

Hello, so I just tore apart my steering column to try and diagnose another issue with the high beams, and the turn signals worked just fine before, however now that everything is put back together the switch won’t activate the turn signals on either side, I verified that it still works at the plug for the turn signal and by supplying power to the left and right signal pins, I can get them to function normally, but now when it’s plugged in the switch no longer activates them, any advice would be greatly appreciated
