      anyone have experience with the nissan murano? for the xenon type, according to the manual, you have to remove the bumper and headlight assembly just for replacing a bulb. is this really necessary? for the halogen type you can just remove it from the bottom wheel well. i checked under there earlier, it seems i could do the same with the xenon type, which i have.

      thanks for any info you can give.

        Can you get just the bulb?? Or is it a whole ballast assembly? I’m not real familiar with thst system, but alldata doesn’t say it’s instruction are for halogen or xenon. Basically looks like you can do it through fender. Can post you some pictures if interested.

        edit:

        I would assume you’ll have to undo the bumper cover enough to squeak the light out or at least at an angle to get to the fasteners holding it into place. Sadlt, most cars are going that route.

                I cant figure out how to link right apparently so here’s the bumper removal, you may want to save it and zoom in a bit

                REMOVAL

                Remove bumper clips, front grille clips, and remove front grille.
                Remove bolts and clips on lower side of bumper.
                Remove screws and clips of both right/left fender protectors on front side. Refer to “Removal and Installation”
                Remove screws of both right/left fender and remove bumper fascia assembly.
                Remove front bumper energy absorber.
                Remove nuts of bumper reinforcement.
                Remove fog lamps located in bumper fascia.

                REMOVAL

                Disconnect the battery negative cable.
                Remove front bumper.
                Remove headlamp mounting bolts.
                Remove plastics bumper bracket, then pull head lamp toward vehicle front, disconnect connector, and remove headlamp.

                INSTALLATION
                Note the following, and install in the reverse order of removal.

                Headlamp mounting bolt :
                Tightening Torque: 5.7 – 6.5 N.m (0.59 – 0.66 kg-m, 51 – 57 in-lb)

                NOTE: After installation, Check adjustment.

                    i got it done, didn’t need to take out the bumper, grille etc. just reached it through the wheel well. i took off the tire too give me more space to work with. wanted to take my time and not mess any thing up.
