my dodge is throwing p0340 cam code. I replaced the sensor and it didn’t fix the problem. ive been trying to test the wires continuity but with not luck finding the correct pinouts on the pcm. Im hoping its a wire somewhere because I know pcms are not cheap.
      can anyone help me please.
ok heres an update, it started doing a long crank start, longer than normal. I changed the cam sensor again and it starts right up and no 340 or 344 codes, seemed cleared itself. I never flashed the pcm either so idk if it start doing it again but hoping not. all seems fine now but I have different problems now of a different variety now I think.
Glad things seem to be working out. Thanks for updating us. 🙂

Those codes could be set by either the cam or crank sensors. If the codes come back, you might want to look at the crank sensor circuit as well.

Thanks for the updates and for using the ETCG forum.

If it throws the code again avoid wells/duralast. They are garbage. Recommend the mopar part or another brand like bwd. I’ve seen to many failures with wells parts.

well it threw the code again, guess ill look at the crank sensor now, might change the cam out again for another bwd one. first one did nothing but the second one, the code went away.
