I have an 03 Accord with 124k miles on it and have recently been having an issue with creaking from my rear passenger suspension. This recently started as the weather started to warm up, I never heard it in the winter. When I bounce my suspension or take off from a stop I can hear the creaking coming from the rear. I jacked up the car and took the wheel off and have hit every bushing I could see with silicone and am still faced with the creaking.
I tried to isolate the issue by grabbing underneath my drum and pulling up to replicate the creak and I am getting a noise from the strut area. I visually inspected the strut to make sure that it is not leaking and it isn’t but they are oem which are now going on 13 years. I can’t check the upper mounts without taking a part the rear seats to get to them. Does anyone have any idea if it is possibly the strut wearing out and starting to creak or if I may have missed something.
tldr:Creaking coming from rear suspension. Lubed all of the bushings I could see. With the wheel off and moving the suspension it sounds like its coming from the strut.
