FYI, NAPA is running an awesome promo on the 1 gallon kit of Herculiner. I picked it up for $65+tax and there is a $25 mail in rebate. Might go back for a second gallon for the rockers and fender flares (maybe a 3rd gallon…lol)

So I’m working on prepping the bumper for the herculiner. It says herculiner sticks best to painted/primered metal and not to rust. So there was a bunch of rust spots on the bumper that I primered, but every time I go to sand it comes off!

Followed the instructions on the primer can. It says it can be sanded after 4 hours of dry time, I let it stay overnight. Cleaned the area with mineral spirits BEFORE applying the primer, just like it says on the can.

Any ideas? Does it need more than 1 coat to sand? I want to make sure the herculiner sticks and doesn’t peel off.

Bedlined the rocker panels, grille and ARB bumper. Turned out nice!

Here some progress pictures. I’ll take some final pictures when I re-assemble everything.

                Got about 1/2 gallon left.

How does HERCULINER hold up to unpainted plastic. I was thinking of doing the fender flares.
