My friend’s 02 TL makes a repeating “cheech..cheech..cheech” noise coming from the drive belt area. Its not a constant squeak like a bad belt would make, its a repeating timed noise that isn’t that loud or obvious yet. Does that seem like a tensioner going bad? If so how can I diagnose it before replacing it, and would it just be the tensioner/pulley or the whole assembly its bolted to?
