in a way yeah i guess the trans in my car has a internal filter that requires that the transmission requires removal and being cracked open so yeah no so thank you
the transmission service for your rsx should just be a 3×3 drain and refill process. Drain the trans via the drain plug, fill it up (should be about 3 quarts), crank the engine and go through the gears a few times, then repeat the process 2 more times.
I kinda want to ask why you’re trying to replace the transmission filter. Were you told you needed to do this at a shop?
no one told me to change it its just what im used to doing when working with automatics from other brands never really got into doing research on hondas and the vtecs so im not used to not having to change the timing chain or filters on autos
There is no filter replacement on that vehicle as the filter is internal. Also, only use Honda ATF to avoid issues. The procedure is slightly different on your vehicle but here’s a video.
