Now they told me the mind was the second thing to go(won’t say what is the first), but in my case think they goofed. I seam to remember awhile back hearing of a way to fool the ECU into thinking the coolant was hot so it would enable the drivers to power up the fans. I am thinking I might possibly have a bad driver in the ECU, but would like to test it without getting the car hot. Can not for the life of me remember, is it unplug CTS or jumper it or put resistor in it. Any help from someone younger who still has their memory or anyone who knows be awesome.
Found this on a 96 Centry and wonder if any GM guys know if it still applies to a 01:
“With engine off disconnect the ECT sensor. Then start engine with A/C off. Both cooling fans should turn on in hi-speed in less than 5 seconds.”
