Here’s Part 2 of the Acura Vigor Blower Motor Replacement video. This procedure also applies to the 96-99 2.5&3.2 TL.
You have the ability to view this entire video before anyone else. Be sure you’re ready to spend some time however as the video is over 90min long. The reason it’s so long is because in order to replace a blower motor on this vehicle you need to remove the entire dash and HVAC assembly. This can take a while. It’s worth it to do it yourself if you’re willing to take it on, it will save you a great deal of money in labor costs if you decide to tackle it yourself. This procedure will also apply to the 96-99 2.5 and 3.2 Acura TL. Enough talking, lets get to the important stuff.
Link to Part 3: Link will be made available when video is available
In this segment we cover the disassembly of the HVAC assembly and replace the blower motor. I also so the operation of the blower motor itself. There’s a lot of fasteners here and 2 different screw sizes. Be sure to keep them organized while you work so that you don’t miss anything when you reassemble. It’s a lot of work for sure but worth it in the end. Having the HVAC out like this also gives you the opportunity to clean out the inside of the assembly as this system did not use a cabin air filter.
Now you know why we use those now. We have much cleaner HVAC systems as a result.
